About Mallory Cole Asche
I graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, with a concentration in English, in May 2010. I love writing and editing, and I have high standards for both.
In this blog, I critique the way local and national news sources cover crime stories (which was originally completed for my Editing course). Also in this blog are my news packages (from my TV News class). You will also find "The Post of Shame," in which I add errors in crime stories posted by CNN.com. More recently, I have added some of my favorite writings from my college days.
The title of this blog is meant to be pronounced like the word "cold." "Cole'd" is a spin off my maiden name. Meaning, the ideas in this blog are mine, they are honest, and they may not be overly warm. Hence, the following blog entries contain "The Cole'd Truth."
